The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) – approved by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India (Ministry of Education) – outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The parameters broadly cover Teaching, Learning and Resources – TLR (30% weightage), Research and Professional Practices – RP (30%), Graduation Outcomes – GO (20%), Outreach and Inclusivity – OI (10%), and Peer Perception – PR (10%).
