Civil & Environmental Engineering department of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute organised a site visit for first year B.Tech and M.tech students pursuing community engagement course on 19^th Dec 2024. 

The visit focused on practical exposure to hydrological processes, including scouring and silting phenomena observed in riverbeds in the village. Students also participated in watershed management assessments, analyzing land use patterns, surface runoff behaviour, soil erosion control measures, and the impact of human interventions on watershed hydrodynamics. The activity aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications in sustainable water resource management. The visit to Khoste village was an enriching experience for the students and a step forward in strengthening community ties. It provided valuable insights into rural life and reinforced the importance of social responsibility.
