National Unity Day Celebration at VJTI

National Unity Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at VJTI in collaboration with Matunga Police Station, Mumbai, featuring a vibrant “Run for Unity” that brought together students, faculty, staff, police officials, and members of the Matunga community to promote unity, harmony, and fitness. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Sachin Kore, Director of VJTI; Shri Jaykumar, Joint Commissioner of Police; Shrimati Ragsudha R., Deputy Commissioner of Police; Dr. Pratik Deshpande, Deputy Commissioner of Police; and well-known actor Shri Sushant Shelar, all of whom addressed the gathering and inspired participants to uphold values of discipline and social harmony. Certificates were distributed to over 300 enthusiastic participants in recognition of their active involvement, marking the event as a resounding success and reinforcing VJTI’s commitment to fostering collective well-being, health, and unity within the community.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

VJTI felt proud and honoured to celebrate the Kargil Vijay Diwas, through its Marathi Cultural committee Rangwardhan. It was our privilege to host Veermata Shrimati Anuradha Gore, mother of the late Captain Vinayak Gore, who made the ultimate sacrifice in Kashmir in 1995 at the age of 26. Her heartfelt address, filled with courage, pain and unwavering patriotism, left a lasting impact on the students. Her call for youth - especially engineers - to consider serving in the Armed Forces struck a powerful chord.
Entire audience was moved with the message given by Shrimati Anuradha Gore to always keep in mind that the civilians could enjoy their lives because the soldiers had laid down theirs on the borders. On this occasion, Director, Dr. Sachin Kore, had also paid tribute all the brave martyrs, and thanked Shrimati Anuradha Gore for reminding the true meaning of sacrifice and the proud feeling of service to the motherland.

Structural Department's ICI Conference

The ICI Conference, held on 17th June 2025 at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), focused on structural health monitoring and retrofitting, featuring prominent contributors like Professor Abhay Bambole, Dr. Vishal Thodabare, and Shri Abhije Bangar (IAS, BMIC), who emphasized engineering's role in urban governance. The event included technical sessions with experts like Er. Vijay Desai and Professor M. Shahir Law, addressing innovations and challenges, while Dr. Aparup Biswal and others provided in-depth analyses. A felicitation ceremony honored Er. S.R. Tambe and others for their contributions to public works. The conference concluded with a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Manograj Joshi, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration on future directions in structural engineering.

Inauguration of Rangvardhan 2024-25

Rangvardhan, a student-run institute dedicated to the Marathi language and culture, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, marking its silver jubilee. The celebrations were inaugurated with great enthusiasm on the occasion of Dussehra. The event took place on the evening of October 11, 2024, with Maharashtra's Minister for School Education and Marathi Language, Hon. Mr. Deepak Kesarkar, lighting the ceremonial lamp to officially commence the silver jubilee year. The institute's director, Dr. Sachin Kore, welcomed the dignitaries with bouquets and mementos. During the event, the Chief Minister unveiled the concept and logo for the silver jubilee, extending his best wishes for Rangvardhan's future. The occasion was graced by the presence of the institute's director, founder, and several other distinguished guests.

Independence Day celebration and "Har Ghar Tiranga event"

Grand Celebration of the 78th Independence Day at VJTI Mumbai !
It was an amazing and unforgettable celebration, starting with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by a special tribute to the social workers and freedom fighters of our nation. The "Har Ghar Tiranga" rally added to the patriotic fervor, and the event concluded with captivating cultural performances by the students. All participants thoroughly enjoyed the program. We hope our efforts successfully instilled a sense of patriotism in everyone present.
