Today marks a momentous occasion in the journey of our institution – the day of convocation. It is my utmost honor to stand before you and address this august gathering.

Firstly, I send out my heartfelt congratulations to the graduating class of 2022-2023. You have navigated through some of the most important years of your life to reach this significant milestone in your life. Your dedication and desire to succeed have brought you to this convocation day.

During this convocation ceremony we are awarding Diploma to 287 students who have fulfilled all the requirements by passing relevant exams in academic year 2022-23. Distributing BTech degree to 725 students, MTech to 176  students and MCA to 61 students of VJTI. On behalf of Academic Council and BoG members  I congratulate  to all students and their parents.

I take this opportunity to report and share the remarkable accomplishments of VJTI.

VJTI Textile Department has received Grant of Rs 10 Cr from Government of India under National Technical Textile Mission for establishing centre of excellence in Textile Department. Prof. Borkar, Prof. Gangopadhyay, Prof. Neha Mehra and Prof. Bhongade, 5. Prof. Aniket K. Gajbhiye,  Dr. Sushant S. Kole,  Dr. Manisha A. Hira ,  Dr. Anuj Shandilya , . Mr. Anup Karande   are actively working on this project.  

I am happy to inform you that VJTI has established a centre of excellence in AI with the funding support of Rs 5 Crore from Government of Maharashtra where •  Dr. Sandeep S Udmale (PI),   Dr. Faruk Kazi (Co-PI) , Prof. Krishna V Kanakgiri (Co-PI), Dr. Sunil G Bhirud (Co-PI) ,  Dr. Arvind V Deshpande (Member) , Dr. R N Awale (Member) , Dr. H P Khairnar (Member) , Dr. Mahesh R Shirole (Member) and Dr. Madhav M Chandane (Member)  are working on this project.

VJTI in collaboration with IIT Bombay received sanction for the project on Maharashtra Drone Mission. VJTI become the part of the Maharashtra Drone mission with Prof. Faruk Kazi as the Co PI.  Prof. Faruk Kazi and Prof. Krishna Kanakgiri have received the sanction of Rs.7.63 cr for their research project on resilience of transmission systems by DRDO.

Dr. Sushama Wagh, HoD EED developed Electrical: Modeling, Computation, and Control Lab (EMC^2) with the CSR funding support of about Rs 2.5 Cr from Mr. Anil Jagasia owner of SAVEX company and VJTI alumnus.

Dean Academic Prof. K.K.Sangle has received the Ministry of Educations’ National award  to teachers 2023 from Honorable President of India.

Prof.  Dr.V.M.Phalle received “Adarsh Shikshak” award from Mumbai university.

Prof. Bhirud has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of  COEP Technological University.

VJTI received an approval from AICTE for running courses for working professional in three UG and TWO PG programs.

VJTI is ready with New PG Hostel of about 419 student capacity to accommodate students.

Recently VJTI has successfully completed the faculty recruitment for permanent positions.

VJTI students are getting excellent placement opportunities with more than 850 placement offers, with average package of 13.7 Lakh and highest package of 62 Lakhs.
