The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering organized a field trip to Khoste Village for their first year B.Tech and M.Tech students undergoing ‘Community Engagement’ cours,  on 19^th April 2024. The B.Tech students conducted a questionnaire survey to gather insights from the local community, which included questions regarding water availability and dependability. The data collected would aid in planning sustainable water management strategies for the village. 

On the other hand M.Tech students visited a  proposed irrigation dam site and conducted an auto level survey for reservoir capacity estimation. They carried out longitudinal profiling over a 50 m stretch and recorded reduced levels at 5 m intervals. Cross-sectional data was collected across a 20 m width at each chainage point. The survey aimed to support dam design and visualize topographical features for stakeholders.
