The industrial visit to the Adani Thermal Power Plant in Dahanu provided us with an invaluable hands-on learning experience, significantly enhancing our understanding of the practical applications of thermodynamics in energy production. We observed the advanced technologies employed for efficient power generation, including the operation of the 250 MW boilers, Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems. The innovative use of seawater for FGD and the integration of sustainable practices in the plant's operations underscored the importance of environmental responsibility in modern power generation.

This visit not only enriched our theoretical knowledge but also gave us a deeper appreciation of the complexities involved in the functioning of a thermal power station.
