Inauguration Ceremony of the “Centre for Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering”
On July 25, 2025, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, celebrated the inauguration of the "Centre for Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering" at the Technical and Applied Chemistry Department, marked by a CSR initiative from Archroma India Pvt. Ltd. The ceremony, officiated by Anjani Prasad, Managing Director and Regional Vice President of Archroma, commenced at 2:30 PM and continued at the Savitribai Phule Auditorium with an address by the VJTI Director and expert-led interactive sessions. Notable speakers, including Prasad, Sunil Chari of Rossari Biotech, and Ullhas Nimkar of NimkarTek Technical Services, shared insights on sustainability fundamentals, global challenges, and entrepreneurial strategies. The event highlighted career opportunities in sustainability, the roles of individuals and institutions, and practical approaches to embedding sustainable practices in education and industry, inspiring students of the 2024-25 batch to pursue informed and impactful career paths in this vital field.
Inauguration Function
On October 5th 2024 Inaugural function of the facilities created in the Chemistry Dept. by the generous contribution of the Department Alumni, Mr. Sunil Chari, M.D. Rossari Biotech, happened. It was graced by the presence of Mr. Anjani Prasad, Vice President , from Archroma, Mr. Sunil Chari, Director VJTI, and in presence of Dept. Alumni members . Inauguration function and Dept. Alumni meeting together made this event a memorable one.
